This is the second location for the McGinn’s; they also operate McGinn’s Public House in the Great Kills section of Staten Island, which has been open for a year and a half. Kevin McGinn opened the Staten Island location after his retirement from the NYPD because he said he could not find any place in his neighborhood to relax and have a good burger and a beer.

Both owners plan to spilt their time between the two locations.

The establishment plans to offer a full menu of Irish-pub-inspired fare. At the bar, McGinn’s offers 8 beers on tap including a mix of domestic and imported beers as well as a wide selection of bottled beers and a full top-shelf bar.

For the grand opening on Friday, McGinn’s will have a bagpipe band on-hand in the afternoon and accoustic music afterward.

McGinn’s will offers a daily happy hour from 3 until 7 where every drink is $1-off. Hours of operation will be Sunday-Friday 11am-2am and Saturday 11am-3am.
