New Irish pub pops up in Clifton Park

The grand opening of Dorothy O’Day’s Irish Pub at Clifton Park Center Mall will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28 with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The new pub, which occupies 3,625 square feet and is located in the former Pasta Factory space, is owned by Chris DiFiore, who also owns Voorheesville Wine & Liquor. The restaurant will feature  both Irish and American fare.

The grand opening festivities will include a presentation from the Southern Saratoga Chamber of Commerce. Lunch service will begin at 11:30 a.m. and there will be entertainment throughout the day, including Irish bag pipers, dancers, food samples and live music. There will also be giveaways, including a chance to win a dinner package for four, including a bottle of wine.
