The Richmond Hill/Bryan County Chamber of Commerce and Mayor Harold Fowler will welcome another business to Richmond Hill on Thursday.
Fia Rua Irish Pub, located at 10134 Ford Ave. in the Ford Plaza shopping center, will have its ribbon-cutting celebration at 4:30 p.m. today. Directly following the ribbon-cutting, guests will enjoy music, light appetizers and drink specials.
Fia Rua occupies one of Richmond Hill’s first original neighborhood taverns, Minglers. The location has once again quickly becoming a spot for locals to meet over food and beverages to discuss the various issues of the day, catch up with friends and make new acquaintances.
It’s a traditional pub and restaurant that offers fantastic atmosphere and a true feeling of being transported to a Dublin Public House.
According to owner Mark Gjekaj, the pub opened last December and starting serving pub fare in April.
The tavern is open Monday-Thursday 3-11 p.m., Friday 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Saturday noon to 1 a.m. Happy hour is every day of the week from 3-7 p.m., and there is live music on Thursday and Friday nights.
