On Saturday Enoch’s Irish Pub welcomes Louisiana legends Miki Honeycutt and Buddy Flett in a rare duo performance.
“Miki Honeycutt and Buddy Flett are two of the most talented musicians to have ever come out of our region,” said Enoch’s owner Doyle Jeter.
One-time members of A-Train and The Bluebirds, both Honeycutt and Flett have achieved national recognition for their recordings, songwriting and stage performances.
Numerous appearances around the world, the New Orleans Jazz Fest and local honky tonks have kept them being favorites for generations. Honey-cutt’s voice has been said to rival Etta James, Bonnie Raitt and Irma Thomas — all fans of hers.
Flett is a Grammy-nominated songwriter who has worked with B.B. King, Gatemouth Brown and Stevie Ray Vaughn.
“I’m as excited as I have been in a long time to have these two Louisiana living legends back at the pub,” said Jeter, who has been friends with both for 30 years. “This is a very special concert you won’t want to miss.”
Tickets will be available at the door.
