An Irish Pub restaurant will be coming to town, filling the vacancy created at 109 Grand Avenue when Charlie Brown’s closed shop over two years ago.
Mark Falow, the owner of the new Craic-themed restaurant, said he thinks the restaurant will be a perfect fit for the Hackettstown area. He described his vision for the restaurant as a “happy place where people can get away from their problems.”
The application, made by MBK Investments LLC, was approved unanimously at the planning board meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 24. According to the application, there are plans to create additional parking and a 45 square foot addition to the southwest side of the building to provide a handicap accessible entrance with a vestibule. The application also calls for interior improvements, new exterior signage and alterations to the site to improve accessibility.
There will be a resolution to memorialize the new restaurant at the next planning board meeting on Tuesday, Feb.28.
