New Irish Pub in the heart of downtown Aspen

Finbarr’s Irish Pub & Kitchen, owned by Irishman and longtime Aspen local, Denis Finbarr O’Donovan, brings something new to town: the warmth and soul of a traditional neighborhood Irish gathering spot. At the same time, Finbarr’s brings something new to the Irish pub experience: a dedication to exceptional food and a refined way of serving it.
Combining the classic pub atmosphere with the high culinary standards of a gastropub, Finbarr’s menu features items including Guinness Braised Lamb Shank and Soft Baked Pretzel with a Beer-and-Cheese Fondue. Lovers of pub fare will find Fish & Chips and Shepherd’s Pie, of course, but here, Finbarr’s chef Joe Flamer, cooking with fresh, local ingredients, raises them beyond the ordinary.
Looking for the place to drink in Aspen? Look no farther than Finbarr’s, where a handsome granite bar features nine beers on tap, including varieties like Guinness and Smithwick’s that no Irish pub should be without. There’s also a tap featuring a rotating beer of the moment, and two state of the art wine cabinets. Domestic and international sports enthusiasts alike will gravitate toward the eight oversized TVs. The affordable bar menu makes Finbarr’s a place to settle in for drinks and a great bite to eat.
The atmosphere, too, is an elevated take on the pub. The space is elegant, warm, and inviting; the kids menu lets families know they’re welcome to join in the fun.
Why are the Irish considered so lucky? It’s their pub culture. Finbarr’s is the ultimate expression of the pub. Lucky Aspen.
