A new Irish pub will soon occupy the space that formerly housed Newstead Tower Public House in the Grove neighborhood.
O’Shay’s Pub, run by Shamus “Shay” Landry, will likely open this month at 4353 Manchester Avenue, as first reported by Sauce. A post today at thegrovestl.com casts some more light on the venue, including hours and menu items.
Landry is looking to serve a mix of American (hamburgers, steaks and sandwiches) and Irish (shepherd’s pie and corned beef and cabbage) food, as well as some hybrids like an Irish slinger. A full bar will stock local craft and imported beers in addition to liquor.
Landry expects O’Shay’s to be open 11-1:30 a.m. Tuesday to Saturday and 11 a.m.-midnight on Sunday. The kitchen will close a few hours before the bar, but patrons can order pizza whenever O’Shay’s is open.
Off the Menu couldn’t find a website or social media pages for the pub, but we’ll let you know when O’Shay’s is online and has an opening date.
