Discovering Chicago’s Irish Pubs

Tuesday, October 11th, 2011

Allison Hantschel and Mike Danahey, authors of Chicago’s Historic Irish Pubs, open a new evening program series with tales of Irish pubs. From dancing at Hanley’s House of Happiness to raising pints at Kelly’s Pub on St. Patrick’s Day, the history of the Irish community in Chicago is told through stories of its gathering places. All are welcome to the program ($10.00 suggested donation). Light refreshments will be served.
